Fugitive Pieces

Fugitive Pieces is a series of 16 C-type Prints made from a personal archive of landscape photographs of the Peak District (Saddleworth Moor, Kinder Scout and other infamous northern moorlands) intersected with fragments of street and playground markings. Places that have lodged and morphed in my pysche over time and feel a part of my make-up or being. Places I have grown up in and re-visited over and over and have left their mark. The title is borrowed and inspired by reading from Anne Michael's stirring, haunting, geo-poetic narrative 'Fugitive Pieces'.
